Community veterinary nursing: careers fayre

Recently Sam, our community veterinary nurse, was able to attend a careers fayre at Idsall School in Shifnal.

The career fayre was for students aged 16-18 years old to be able to look at the different career and education options available to them.

Sam was available to talk to students at the event about careers within Veterinary Science, including veterinary surgeon, veterinary nursing and other options open in this field of work.

It was lovely to meet so many students and to share our passion for the profession. To be able to help families and their pets every day is an honour.

It was also a great opportunity for Sam to be able to talk to other local colleges about the work that Dignipets does, as being a mobile palliative and hospice veterinary service is quite unusual.

Having an opportunity to meet potential veterinary students is important, and part of Sam’s role is to be out in the local community.
