Last month Sam was invited to visit Fish4dogs to give a first aid talk to the staff.
Fish4dogs are a small independent pet food company based in rural Worcestershire. Fish4dogs are a friendly team and they are often joined at work by their four legged friends.
Sam, our Dignipets district veterinary nurse, was invited to join the fish4dogs team for an evening to present a first aid for dogs talk.
Included in the talk was common poisons, heatstroke, seizures, ticks, insect stings, basic bandaging techniques, what to do if there is a RTA and basic CPR.
The talk was interactive with practical demonstrations and a quiz about first aid.
The bandage materials used were kindly supplied by Pioneer Veterinary Products.
It is important for our district nurse to be out in the community and it was lovely to be able to meet the Fish4Dogs team. Detti, Sam’s cat, certainly enjoyed her sample!
