Derrick and his family were walking in memory of his pal Vince who he lost in August this year.

Dignipets pet memorial walk for pet bereavement

It was forecasted terrible weather but in the end it we were very lucky with our annual Pet Memorial walk at Baggeridge park in Sedgley on Sunday the 8th of September 2024.

Dignipets creates several Pet memorial walks per year to create awareness for pet bereavement.

The weather did not stop us!

Some of us at The Pet Memorial Walk had great fun in the puddles!

The Team present were Merel, Becky and Lynette who made sure they were available for everyone who attended for a chat and in some cases a hug.

Both the vets Miriam of Dignipets Worcester and Stef of Dignipets Leicester walked with to share their experiences and to connect.

For the Dignipets Team it is important that every year in several of the areas where we provide our services

we create a safe space and platform where Pet bereavement is recognised.

Meet some of our vets

This is for us as a team so we can meet pet carers with their potential new pets. But also for pet carers who can walk in memory and bring up memories of their pet in a safe and understanding environment.

Clockwise: Miriam Lodewijks of Dignipets Worcester is meeting 2 friendly Frenchies, Merel Taal Dignipets Midlands is talking to pet memorial walkers, walkers in the field at end of walk and the Dignipets stand at Baggeridge Park.

Join us next time

If you wish to join us for a future pet memorial walk, you can sign up to our mailing list to find out dates and locations. There is no charge, and no obligation, simply a little get together of people in the same situation and with the same love for animals and what they mean to us.

You can contact us on reception@dignipets.co.uk
