A Gentle Visit to North Shropshire: Supporting Pets at Life’s End
Last week I dropped by to see Karina and Ken in their crematorium in North Shropshire.
My Name is Donna Ness and I am one of the hospice vets with Dignipets.
I’ve dedicated my career to helping families navigate the most tender moments with compassion and dignity.
I am providing in-home hospice and end of life care for in Telford & Wrekin, Shropshire and surrounding areas.
When Coton opened last year, I was curious about Coton meadows and wanted to see what this new location had to offer to my clients and they did not disappoint.
Karina and Ken were keen to meet me and show me around.
A great deal of love and care has been put into this wonderful facility for pets and horses.
The thoughtful design reflects their sensitive and kind ways with deceased pets and their grieving families.
Making their last moments peaceful at Coton Meadows
Did you know that if you prefer not to have a vet visit your home, Coton Meadows Pet Crematorium offers a serene and private room for your pet’s final moments? It’s a gentle alternative for those seeking a non-clinical setting—a space filled with compassion and calm.
As a hospice vet with Dignipets, I’m honoured to support families in Telford and surrounding areas during these deeply emotional times. I do this mainly by providing home visits. However, I also offer visits to Coton, where a peaceful passing can take place away from home, yet still in a comforting environment.
For more information please call 0333 3208731 or Karina on 07494 264040
Thank you again Ken and Karina I am looking forward providing the best care and support for pet carers and their pets in our area.

May I ask when the pet is cremated, can we watch her enter the furnace from a distance? I believe this is very important to many breeders, and we have done this in the past.
Thank you for your enquiry.
Please be aware that responses to blog posts are not monitored daily.
Some crematoria do offer the service you are describing of attended cremation.
I can advise it is always best to reach out and call them directly to confirm this is possible.
Even if they do it might not be available every day.
